Are you trying to provide different discounts with a Unique Coupon code ?

Well, it is so simple to create coupon code based discount which applies different discounts based on the categories.

Create a Single Coupon code which applies different discount on different Categories on your store.

Example Scenario:

Coupon code "DISCOUNT2020":

  • 10% discount on Category "Accessories"
  • 25% discount on Category "Soaps"
  • 15% discount on Category "Utensils"

Let's see how to configure this through Discount Rules plugin :

Create First Rules for Category "Accessories"

Go to Price Discount Rules -> Add New Rule

General Tab:

Configure your Rule name and additional description on this tab.
Make sure that you have the method "Quantity/category/product/user role based discount"

Condition tab:

Here comes all the conditions that effect on the rule that you are creating.

Choose "Specific Categories" and from the drop down select Accessories Category.
In Coupon code condition use -> Create your own coupon -> DISCOUNT2020

Discount Tab:

Mention the quantity range and the discount provided here and Save the Rule.

Create Rule 2 for Category "Soaps":

Rule 2 -> Add New Rule for another category.

General tab:

Condition tab:

  • Choose Specific Category -> "Soaps"
  • Coupon code -> Create your own coupon -> DISCOUNT2020 (again enter the same coupon name)

Discount Tab :

Similarly, you can create different discounts to different categories using the Same Coupon code.

Rule 3 -> Categories --> "Utensils"

Discount tab:

15% discount.

The Rules are all Set up :)

Let us see how the rules applies in the cart page when products from different categories are in the cart and the coupon code is applied.
