NOTE: If you do know how to work with PHPMyadmin, please get a help from a developer. Do not try this.
Sometimes you may want to export the email templates. For instance, you might have designed the email template in your staging site and wanted to just copy these templates to your production site.
On other occasions, you might just want to take a backup of your email templates just for safe keeping of your email design.
This guide will walk you through the process of exporting and backing up the email templates.
- You should have access to cPanel / PHPMyadmin to carry out this process.
- You should be familiar with PHPMyadmin tasks
Export or Backup :
The Email Customizer for WooCommerce saves the email templates in the wp_posts table.
A record is created for each email template per language. That is you will find one table record per email template per language.
It is saved with post_type value as: woo_mb_template
So open the PHPMyAdmin and open the wp_posts table
NOTE: If your table prefix is other than "wp_", then please read this as <YOUR_TABLE_PREFIX>_posts
- Go to the Search tab in PHPMyadmin -> set the "post_type" field value as: woo_mb_template
- Click Go button
Now you would get a result page showing all the email template records.
Click the Check All and Export
You can export it as a SQL or CSV and then re-import in your other site's wp_posts table.
IMPORTANT: Before importing, you will have to remove the ID column in the SQL / CSV file.
