Introduction :

Displaying the Promotional message based on the cart quantity is a marketing strategy that encourages customers to buy more items as it offers discounts or free products based on the number of items in the cart.

This user guide explains how to display Promotional messages based on the cart quantity in your WooCommerce store.

Note: This quantity-based promotional message will be displayed only if you configure additional conditions based on Item quantity.

Before getting started, please make sure that you have installed and activated the “Discount Rules PRO” plugin. The additional condition “Item Quantity” feature is available only in the PRO version.

Let’s get started

There are two steps in configuring the Promotional message,

Step 1: Enable Promotional Message

You can enable the Promotional Message in the Settings page of our Discount Rules.

- Shop page

- Product page

- Cart page

- Checkout page

Step 2: Customize your message

Let us see an Example scenario to display the promotional message,

Example: 10% discount on each product when the Item quantity reaches 5 in the cart.

(Note - Displaying the Promotional message from 1st quantity in the cart)

Here is the screenshot of the rule configuration that follows,

Choose “Product Adjustment” as Discount type, “All Products” in the Filter section as this discount is store-wide, and set the Percentage discount as “10” (You also have options like categories, products, attributes, and tags in the filter section and can also have Fixed discounts)

In the conditions section, choose “Item Quantity” set the operator to be “Greater than or equal” and enter the value as “5”.

Because we are offering a discount when the cart quantity reaches 5.

Once the Promotional message is enabled in the settings tab then the promotional section will be displayed in the Item Quantity condition field.

Enter the promotional message “Buy {{difference_quantity}} more products and get a 10% discount”.

Here {{difference_quantity}} is the short code.

Enter the threshold value as “1” so that the promotional message will start displaying from the specified quantity in the cart.

Once the specified threshold is reached, the messages will not be displayed.

At the moment it is not possible to customize the promotional messages.
