Introduction:
Fixed price per unit is a feature provided by Discount Rules for Woocommerce plugin, a pricing strategy where a consistent, predetermined reduction in price is applied to each unit of a product. This type of discount ensures that the discount amount remains the same for every unit bought, regardless of whether the customer buys one unit or many.
For example, let's say you have a store that sells cookies, and you decide to offer a "Fixed price per unit" discount on a certain type of cookie - let's call it "ChocoDelight".
This discount means that no matter how many ChocoDelight cookies a customer purchases, each one will have the same, lower price. So, if the regular price of a ChocoDelight cookie is $2, the fixed price per unit discount could be set at $0.50. This way, if a customer buys 2 ChocoDelight cookies, they’ll get 2 cookies for $1 i.e., each for $0.50.
Examples scenarios of setting up discounts on specific products:
Buy ‘Hoodie’ for a fixed price of $70
Buy 4 or more quantities at a fixed price of $14 per item
Buy 3 products at a fixed price of $20 each item
Now, let’s take a look at the examples one by one in detail.
Before proceeding further, please make sure that you have installed and activated the Discount Rules PRO plugin.
NOTE: You will need the PRO version for this feature.
Example 1: Buy ‘Hoodie’ for a fixed price of $70
In this scenario, if customers buy the product “Hoodie” available in the store, they will be eligible for a fixed price of $70 on that product ‘Hoodie’.
To create this rule, follow these steps:
Creating a Discount Rule:
Go to WordPress dashboard -> Woocommerce -> Discount Rules -> Click on “Add New Rule” button
Select the discount types as “Product Adjustment”
Then configure the discount rule as seen in the below screenshot:
Details of configurations are:
Choose "Products" from the filter options and select the simple product “Hoodie”. You also have options like specific Categories, Attributes, Tags, Sku’s and so on…You can choose the option depending upon your requirement.
Set the discount type to a $70 Fixed price per item. You also have options to choose Percentage discount or Fixed discount
Click on “SAVE” once we have successfully created the rule.
Now, customers who buy “Hoodie” will be eligible for a $70 fixed price discount on that product.

Example 2: Buy 4 or more quantities at a fixed price of $14 per item
In this scenario, if a customer buys 4 or more quantities of any products from the store, he can get each product at a fixed price of $14 per item.
To create this rule, follow these steps:
Creating a Discount Rule:
Go to WordPress dashboard -> Woocommerce -> Discount Rules -> Click on “Add New Rule” button
Select the discount types as “Bulk Discount”
Then configure the discount rule as seen in the below screenshot:
Details of configurations are:
Choose "All Products" (storewide) from the filter options. You also have options like specific Categories, selected Products, Attributes, Tags, Sku’s and so on… You can choose the option depending upon your requirement.
In the Discount Section, choose Count Quantities by as “Filter set above” because this bulk discount is for all products in the store.
Now enter “4” in the Minimum Quantity and “999” in the Maximum Quantity
Set the discount type to a $14 Fixed price per item. You also have options to choose Percentage discount or Fixed discount
Click on “SAVE” once we have successfully created the rule.
When the cart has 4 or more quantities, each product will be discounted at $14 fixed price per item.

Example 3: Buy 3 or more quantities of water bottle at a fixed price of $20 each item
This rule offers customers the option to buy 3 or more quantities of water bottle for $20 fixed price per item.
To create this rule, follow these steps:
Creating a Discount Rule:
Go to WordPress dashboard -> Woocommerce -> Discount Rules -> Click on “Add New Rule” button
Select the discount types as “Bundle Discount”
Then configure the discount rule as seen in the below screenshot:
Details of configurations are:
Choose "Products" from the filter options and select the simple product “Water Bottle”. You also have options like specific Categories, Attributes, Tags, Sku’s and so on…You can choose the option depending upon your requirement.
In the Discount Section, choose Count Quantities as “Filter set above” because this bulk discount is for the product ‘Water bottle’ in the store.
Now enter “3” in the Minimum Quantity and “999” in the Maximum Quantity to have the same discount.
Set the discount type to a $20 Fixed price per item. You also have options to choose Percentage discount or Fixed discount.
Click on “SAVE” once we have successfully created the rule.
