Introduction:

Fixed price per unit is a feature provided by Discount Rules for Woocommerce plugin, a pricing strategy where a consistent, predetermined reduction in price is applied to each unit of a product. This type of discount ensures that the discount amount remains the same for every unit bought, regardless of whether the customer buys one unit or many.

For example, let's say you have a store that sells cookies, and you decide to offer a "Fixed price per unit" discount on a certain type of cookie - let's call it "ChocoDelight".

This discount means that no matter how many ChocoDelight cookies a customer purchases, each one will have the same, lower price. So, if the regular price of a ChocoDelight cookie is $2, the fixed price per unit discount could be set at $0.50. This way, if a customer buys 2 ChocoDelight cookies, they’ll get 2 cookies for $1 i.e., each for $0.50.

Examples scenarios of setting up discounts on specific products:

  • Buy ‘Hoodie’ for a fixed price of $70

  • Buy 4 or more quantities at a fixed price of $14 per item

  • Buy 3 products at a fixed price of $20 each item

Now, let’s take a look at the examples one by one in detail.

Before proceeding further, please make sure that you have installed and activated the Discount Rules PRO plugin.

NOTE: You will need the PRO version for this feature.
